Also, if you don't mind me asking...How large is this? And is it difficult to paint all those details? AND do you use acrylics or oils? I'm trying to paint more like my drawings but it seems too hard to paint all of the details and such - how do you do it, sir!?!?!?!

The piece of wood was fairly large...maybe around A1 size...? I've not got the measurements here unfortunately.
I use acrylics, but hope to get into using oils later on. oh, and inks! nice black japanese inks. I do it with a brush...I ink my drawings with brush too...It's been great practice for painting. Getting the right lines is still a real challenge for me though !
